Yoga means something a little different to everyone. For Kate, her yoga philosophy is that it is about achieving balance in her body and in her life. Her approach, or more particularly, her philosophy, is that yoga should be done with an ongoing purpose in mind. One does not do “some yoga” but rather seeks a better way of life with yoga playing a central role in one’s lifestyle.

By making yoga a priority in one’s life, allowing time for calm and for a healthy workout, the daily stresses and strains can be better managed. Kate encourages all students to see yoga as an investment in their own health and wellbeing and probably the most rewarding health investment you will ever make.

To become a successful yoga student, one does not have to radically change your diet. While there are yoga practitioners who advocate this, Kate firmly believes that if you enjoy all things in moderation, these will not prevent you from deriving the tremendous benefits that yoga offers.

Always remember that yoga is your own path and as Khalil Gibran put it, “Say not, ‘I have found the truth’, but rather, ‘I have found a truth’.

Yoga is not only for fanatics, it is for everyone! If you are in Singapore, why not come and find out what Kate means.

“I do not understand the mystery of grace - only that it meets us where we are, but does not leave us where it found us.”
