Philosophy yoga & religion
Kate’s yoga practice is not related to any form of religion or spiritual belief and you do not need to change your religious beliefs to come and enjoy yoga. From yoga she strives to attain equanimity which is constant regardless of external factors.

Yoga does not make the bad things in your life go away, nor does it prevent trying times, however through the discipline of your body, breath and mind, one attains control over one’s self and one’s reactions. It is rather like being on a ship at sea; you cannot change whether the sea is calm or rough, but you can change how you react to and deal with the reality.

Originally yoga was closely aligned with Hinduism and another branch flourished under Buddhist beliefs. Certain branches or types of yoga still link the practice with certain religious beliefs and others account for practitioners holding varied beliefs as to the form of their personal god.

Kate believes the benefits that yoga brings in coaxing your body and mind into balance, is more than enough reason to do it!
