Restore Your Balance Yoga Holiday with Li Ling
The Marndadee Heritage, Chiang Mai, 18-22 May 2019
The key to a happy and fulfilling life is balance. Balance is about managing the different elements of your life in even proportions. In today’s fast-paced and sometimes chaotic world, the key is to “turn off” the unimportant and open yourself up to all things that feed your soul. Creating a personalised script for a balanced life starts with small steps. Begin by making time for the crucial things in your life and build from there.
A life among antiques can slow things down, making us stop and contemplate the beauty of old workmanship and artistry and its history. At The Marndadee Heritage Chiang Mai, 80% of the furnishings and décor are antiques, distinguishing every room with an individual touch. A cupboard once owned by a British resident of Burma, a bed of British origin that came from India and a sofa from Germany are just a few of the eclectic collection of the resort’s furniture.
Over the 5 days, grab a book and lounge in one of the many hidden nooks on the grounds, take a dip in the gorgeous pool or explore the city markets for simple craft – all in addition to the daily yoga sessions. No matter your desire or need, you can find peace and balance by deepening your connection with nature and refuelling your mind, body and spirit.

About Li Ling:
Li Ling is the owner of Kate Porter Yoga studio and she is also teacher and slave to her two dogs. While she may be an athletic person, she is after all just a normal girl with a regular body. She was never a dancer, never a gymnast and never the healthiest person. The strong and flexible body and person you see today is a result of many years of practice, putting in the hard work, and ultimately listening to her inner voice. Yoga is for every body and everybody.
In life and her outlook, balance is what she strives for. A balanced mindset – never all white and never all black; a balanced diet – fries and salads sounds like a good combi; and a balanced wellness routine – ashtanga at times, netball and myofascial release or just chilling in front of the TV to catch up on Netflix.
