Workshops are special two hour learning sessions which are usually on the last Sunday of each month. These interactive extended sessions allow students to learn more than “how” but also “why” we do certain things in yoga. Even better, they include a glass of granny’s homemade lemonade specially brewed for the session.

Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis and lower spine, a longer held, deeper stretch is needed to facilitate opening. Normally, this is accomplished through the use of props such as blankets, blocks and straps.

In this workshop, Karen Champion will share how to work with a partner, eliminating some of the effort and allowing the receiver to soften into poses they normally could not arrive at on their own.

This is a great way to learn how your body can move in new ways when you are able to fully surrender, allowing gravity and a partner to help you achieve deeper levels in your practice.

In this workshop, Paulina Buck will guide you through various different pranayama techniques to help achieve a more conscious state. For those who practise yoga, integrating pranayama into your asanas will help you develop more awareness and stability in your poses. For those who don’t practise the physical yoga poses, this can help you calm the mind and focus concentration in your meditation practice.
