Workshops are special two hour learning sessions which are usually on a weekend afternoon. These interactive extended sessions allow students to learn more than “how” but also “why” we do certain things in yoga. Even better, they include a glass of granny’s homemade lemonade specially brewed for the session.

|About the session:||
This workshop is intended to teach participants how to reduce mental tension, relieve physical tightness in the body as well as to evoke calmness in the emotional body. This is NOT a high-intensity yoga postures workshop.
What to bring:
1. Notebook and pen
How to prepare for workshop:
1. Take a shower or have a short nap beforehand if possible. (ie Come well rested.)
2. Wear light colors.
3. Remove jewelry and watches.
4. Avoid use of perfume.
5. Avoid pungent food and alcohol before workshop.
What to expect/Take-away skills:
1. Yoga postures for de-stress
2. Yoga breathing techniques for de-stress
3. Meditation skills for beginners
4. Learn self-guided deep relaxation techniques for use at end of home yoga practice or before sleep.
Effect: Relaxes the mind and rejuvenates the body. Improves sleep quality.

|About the instructor:||
Elaine went to India for yoga therapy training at two famous Yoga and Naturopathy Therapy Centers. She was excited by yoga’s curative effect and wants to share her knowledge of self-care and joyful living. Elaine encourages students to be observant and truthful to their own body and mind. She puts great emphasis on the idea that that yoga practices should be done at an enjoyable level and reminds the students to give their bodies space to adjust over time. Read more about Elaine here.
